Food Lion Shop and Share: LARI continues to be a participating member of the Food Lion Shop and Share program. When a registered MVP card is used in connection with purchases, LARI receives a percentage of that money as a donation from Food Lion. It does not affect your bill and gives LARI free money. You do NOT have to be a LARI member to sign up. You can sign up in several ways: call Gail with the rescue squad at: 540-872-3345 and she will do the paperwork. Call Food Lion directly at 1-800-210-9569, option 3 and register with a human being.
Or go to the website: www.foodlion.com. Then in the left side navigation pane, click on the link In The Community then click the link, Lion Shop and Share and the final link, Register MVP Card. Food Lion has changed its policy and now once you are registered, you never have to again. So it is a one-stop-shop. Thank you for helping LARI in an easy and simple way.
Room Rental: 
The LARI community room might the be perfect place for your next special occasion - a wedding reception, birthday party, anniversary, family reunion, community association meeting, ... The possibilities are endless. There are approximately 18 large tables and 192 chairs, with a stage, dance floor and kitchen facilities available. For nice weather, grassy areas and picnic tables are right outside the door. A parking lot is steps away and additional parking next door. Sign Rental:
The sign along Rt. 601 in front of the LARI building is available for your special message by the week. Surprise someone with a holiday greeting, birthday wish or even a wedding proposal! Or you could advertise your business or upcoming event. For only $25 a week, both sides of the lighted sign, your message will be read. Donation: LARI is a 100% volunteer rescue squad, funded by generous financial donations. If you wish to contribute to the general fund, which includes the mortage of the building, ambulance purchases and upkeep, parking lot paving, etc. please send your check/money order to: Lake Anna Rescue, PO Box 101, Bumpass, VA 23024. Your donation is tax deductible. Contributions of household articles, furniture, appliances or any other items which could be sold at the LARI YARD SALE are always welcome for fund-raisers. Volunteering your time: You do not have to be in an ambulance to volunteer your time at LARI. Yes, we are always looking for ambulance drivers and medical personnel to run on emergency rescue calls. But LARI also need people to work with fund-raisers. Help is always needed to landscape the building, work on advertising upcoming events, building maintenance, cooking and baking and all the other jobs needed to keep this volunteer organization serving the medical emergency needs of the community. If you have a specific skill or talent, such as knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, etc, your help could be used as needed.
