Food Lion Shop and Share: The Food Lion Shop and Share program has been drastically changed. It is now handled by Universal Promotions and LARI is no long qualified to be a recipient of donated funds. However, Louisa County Resource Council, which supports the Community Cupboard, is registered for the new program. The Cupboard helps feed 600 hungry families every month. You can help this effort with your Food Lion MVP card. Every time you use your MVP card when shopping at any Food Lion, there is NO charge to you but a percentage of what you spend is donated to the Cupboard.
To register your card, simply email your name and 12 digit MVP card number to Gail at GMSpectrum@aol.com and she will register for you. Please be sure and include the two smaller numbers on both sides of the larger ten digit number on the card. Thank you for helping to feed hungry families in Louisa County. Every little bit helps.
Room Rental: 
The LARI community room might the be perfect place for your next special occasion - a wedding reception, birthday party, anniversary, family reunion, community association meeting, ... The possibilities are endless. There are approximately 18 large tables and 192 chairs, with a stage, dance floor and kitchen facilities available. For nice weather, grassy areas and picnic tables are right outside the door. A parking lot is steps away and additional parking next door. Sign Rental:
The sign along Rt. 601 in front of the LARI building is available for your special message by the week. Surprise someone with a holiday greeting, birthday wish or even a wedding proposal! Or you could advertise your business or upcoming event. For only $25 a week, both sides of the lighted sign, your message will be read. Donation: LARI is a 100% volunteer rescue squad, funded by generous financial donations. If you wish to contribute to the general fund, which includes ambulance purchases and upkeep, parking lot paving, etc. please send your check/money order to: Lake Anna Rescue, PO Box 101, Bumpass, VA 23024. Your donation is tax deductible. Contributions of large sellable items such as cars or boats are always welcome for fund-raisers. Pickup can be arranged. Volunteering your time: You do not have to be in an ambulance to volunteer your time at LARI. Yes, we are always looking for ambulance drivers and medical personnel to run on emergency rescue calls. But LARI also need people to work with fund-raisers. Help is always needed to landscape the building, work on advertising upcoming events, building maintenance, cooking and baking and all the other jobs needed to keep this volunteer organization serving the medical emergency needs of the community. If you have a specific skill or talent, such as knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, etc, your help could be used as needed.
